Coming from an all woman tribe of Amazons based on Greek mythology, Wonder Woman is a superhero who was raised in the island of Themyscira. Wonder Woman soon formed an alliance with the Justice league of America, working with them to help stop the Axis Military Forces from ruling over the world. Together with other superheroes she also battled numerous villains. Wonder Woman has also become known as a prominent female figure in the superhero world especially with her feminist views. Her strong views of love, peace and sexual equality between men and women have made her popular with female audiences. Throughout comic book history she remains to be the most iconic of all female superheroes allowing her to be continually published and even gaining her own series.
